72 hour performance

In the character of Yog Raj Chitrakar, Nikhil will make a drawing of the panoramic view seen from the rooftop of Kamal Mansion in Colaba. For the duration of the performance he will remain confined to a room in this building, and an image of the view will be relayed live into the room.

Yog Raj Chitrakar is a fictional character based on Nikhil’s grandfather, Yog Raj Chopra, a landscape painter, whose consistent interest was to capture in paint in plain air the grandeur of the Kashmir valley. In the process of creating the drawing the character will go through a series of transformations.
