fiVe brings together the work of artists represented by Chatterjee & Lal who have exhibited at the present space since 2007. The curatorial strategy of the exhibition is twofold. Firstly, to draw out the dominating interests of the gallery program, in particular artists whose practice is grounded in performance, video and works on paper. Secondly, the show brings into focus hitherto unexplored relationships between these artists, many of whom are rarely hung together.

The exhibition brings together new work by Ashish Avikunthak, Sahej Rahal, Sadanand Shirke and Nityan Unnikrishnan. In addition there are key works from past Chatterjee & Lal shows by Minam Apang, Nikhil Chopra, Sophie Ernst, Nasreen Mohamedi, Hetain Patel, Rajesh Pullarwar, Rashid Rana and Kiran Subbaiah. The show is a celebration both of what has been as well as signposting future programming at the gallery.
